Jack Solomon Jack Solomon is past President of the Fine Art Publishers Association, immediate past President of The Las Vegas Arts District. Currently he is Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman’s appointee to the Las Vegas Arts Commission. He serves on the Board of the Las Vegas Arts District and the Boulder Plaza Sculpture Park Foundation and Mr. Solomon is the author of six published books on art and artists plus many magazine articles. Mr. Solomon frequently serves as an expert witness in art related trials. He has lectured extensively in the U.S.A. and throughout Japan on art and the business of art. He has been a guest Art Expert Lecturer or Panelist on numerous symposiums including presentations at Art Expo, New York and as a guest panelist at the National Convention of the American Society Art Appraisers. He is listed in “Who’s Who in America”. Mr. Solomon holds a B.S. and LLB (Cum Laude) from the University of Nebraska and a LLM from University of Michigan Law School where he was a Cook Fellow. Mr. Solomon practiced law in Chicago, specializing in art and entertainment law before he became a full time art dealer. Mr. Solomon also has an enviable record as Chief Executive and builder of other industries besides art. He was Founder and Chairman of National Textbook Corporation (sold to Tribune Media Services); Chairman of Amco Industries, a multi-million dollar auto distributor and public company (which he sold to Toyota of Japan) and Chairman of Mogen David Wine Corporation (which he sold to Coca-Cola Bottling Company). |
